Toccare Medical Spa is a solely-owned subsidiary of Texas Oculoplastic Consultants (TOC), one of the nation’s premiere surgical practices specializing in high-quality aesthetic and reconstructive facial and eyelid surgery. The TOC surgeons are board-certified ophthalmologists who have completed additional advanced fellowship training in oculofacial, orbital, lacrimal and reconstructive surgery.
TOC’s services cover a broad scope of aesthetic and reconstructive procedures to include eyelid surgery, brow and forehead lifts, face lifts, laser skin resurfacing, removal of eyelid and facial skin cancers, scar revision, orbital surgery, correction of tearing disorders, and many other specialized procedures. The majority of the surgery is performed in TOC’s adjoining outpatient ambulatory surgery center, the Center for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Eyelid and Orbital Surgery (CAREOS).
TOC is also committed to teaching, research, and the education of future oculofacial surgeons. TOC is one of only forty sites in the nation with a fellowship training program in oculofacial, orbital and reconstructive surgery that is accredited by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS).
More than a decade ago, at the urging of many of their patients, the TOC surgeons founded TOC Aesthetic Skin Care, the forerunner of Toccare, as an answer to patient concerns about on-going skin care treatments that would help restore their natural beauty and better maintain the results of their aesthetic eyelid and facial surgery.
Today Toccare and TOC are side-by-side in the Austin Medical Plaza, one providing surgical services, the other, under the direction of the TOC surgeons, is a medical spa staffed by professionals that provide restorative care and beautiful skin maintenance. The two facilities complement each other with the TOC surgeons being an integral part of the Toccare consultative team.
